Salt Water Angling Tactics
North Sarasota Bay to South Tampa Bay Areas

Rich Cunningham shares his fishing experience and secretsThis is a Bradenton area boating/fishing consult service. This is not a fishing charter. SWAT was created for boat owners that are new to fishing and would like to learn to catch, bait, and fish. Most people spend $25,000 - $100,000 on a good inshore/near-shore boat, but are often taught by inexperienced fisherman. Rich Cunningham offers his 20 plus years of experience to jump-start your fishing success in a couple of days. He shares with you the theories as well as the secrets of boating and fishing, creates a custom consult plan based on your needs, and focuses on educating you around your boat. Rich explains where the fish should be based on tides, weather, and season, plus the all important live bait location and use.

Learn to catch, bait, and fish in a couple of daysMany people recommend hiring a charter captain for this sort of service, however your experience will not be customized to what you need to know and generally your captain will merely take you to the fish. Why waste your $350-$500 for a 4-6 hour charter when SWAT will teach you everything the pros don't want you to know?

Again, this service is completely customized, specializing in inshore and near-shore techniques. You will also be provided with a list of invaluable resources to check prior to a trip. Some consult options can include but are not limited to the following:

Again, packages are customized to fit your needs. Two-day packages are recommended (about 16 hours) to ensure that everything is covered. This package also includes a list of local reef numbers with a couple of the guarded numbers for permit and another set for grouper and snapper. You will not find these numbers on any charts!

Child fishingREFERENCES AVAILABLE

Rich also works with kids starting out on their own and recommends the Coast Guard child safety class. He has personally worked with a junior tournament team consisting of 12 and 13 year old kids who placed 3rd in their first tournament, The Crosthwait. They have also just completed their 2nd tournament, The Desoto, where they also placed 3rd. These are quite the accomplishments for such a young team as junior divisions are quite competitive and usually consist of much older kids.
